Twelve (12) Hours of Praise

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. (Psa. 40:3)

Feasibility discussions were held in March 2011 with those who have provided regular praise in the center of Daegu City for approximately 23 years.

Let us join together with churches and mission groups to sing praises to our God and about our for 12 hours.

It is proposed that each participating group/church have 30 minutes each to offer praise and worship; being continued in serial succession for the scheduled time (12 hr.).  There is a proposed venue in the center of downtown and a proposed period of fall (autumn).  This means possibly 24 churches/ministries given 30 minutes, and if more participate the time can be further divided to accommodate all who desire to participate.

Please pray about this to see how you can support this effort to praise and proclaim our God in song to the masses.

Many of our young people and even not so young find themselves drawn to the city’s shopping areas, clubs, drinking places, and attractive lights.  They are drawn away from campuses, drawn away from churches, drawn away from their homes and families.  Let’s make Him known to the lost and even declare His goodness to those who would call on Him.

It would be good if outreach ministry teams can be in the area throughout the time of making His name known. If you only have 30 minutes, then that will be wonderful.

How do you really feel about the lost?

Is God worthy of the public praise?

Being Instant (In Season – Out of Season)

 2 Tim. 4:2: ..Be instant in season…

Pastor Lee was at the hospital, where he met a man (age 91) and his daughter (age 60).  The man recognized Pastor Lee to be a minister.  He then said to Pastor Lee; “I believe in the Lord, can I be baptized?” Pastor Lee surprised that such a situation could occur without notice.  Nevertheless, certainty was made and 91 year man was baptized on the spot. Praise God!

God is doing something in our city.

Prayer Breakfast

Early Saturday morning (28 May 2011) pastors, elders and leaders representing nearly every English Church, service, and ministry in Daegu City met for a prayer breakfast at Daegu City Center’s Novotel.

The theme of the prayer meeting was: The Necessity and Benefit of Unity.

The pastors/leader’s introduced themselves to the gathering and spoke shortly about their ministries.

The event’s speaker Pastor Ken delivered a heartfelt message from Psalms 133:1-3; entitled “Unity, A Condition Found in God”.

There was a time of prayer, where leaders prayed for the other leaders and ministries among other elements of the morning’s events.

Many of the leaders testified before, during, and after; “this is what we have been praying for”, a movement of God to bring us together in Him for His glory and purposes.

After the spirit lead program pastors, elders, leaders and beloved brethren enjoyed an all-you-can eat buffet breakfast including: juices, cereals, eggs, meats, fish, rice, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, coffee, tea, waffles, and various other breakfast delights.

A Great Thing

A great thing happened this week (May 23, 2011). That is among the possible many other great things that happened, but not reported.  At the Kyungpook National University campus on Monday evening, approximately 40-60 students were converted.  The angels in heaven rejoicing in the presence God, and so do we.

The evangelical event, sponsored by Campus Evangelical Network, a ministry effort between mission groups, and local churches; assembled approximately 1,400 attendees at a campus auditorium for the 2011 Evangelical festival.

The 2011 Evangelical Festival took place starting in Daejon (5/12), then Kwangju (5/13), then Chunchun (5/16), next Chunju (5/17), after Kyungnam (5/20), and concluding in Daegu (5/23).

Daegu English Church News

On Sunday, (April 24, 2011), the Daegu Namduk Presbyterian Church opened its first English Worship Service.  The sermon was from Mat. 21:10, and entitled: Who is This?
We pray for the blessings and grace of God as they labor among the international community.

On Saturday (April 16, 2011) Daegu-Kyungpook Christian professors met for praise & worship, along with related pastors and other church leadership.   The message was based on John 17:4-5.  After the early program, presentations were made about some mission groups and their activities (DFC, IVF, CHISTA).    A briefing was also given on technologies available for missions.

The pastor of the KNU Daegu English Church was in attendance for all the aforementioned activities, and for a special meeting concerning foreign mission on campus with professors, pastors, and mission group leaders.  We trust in God’s blessings as the leaders submit to Him for guidance in His work.
