Mission International (MI) focuses on evangelizing the world by making disciples and developing future leaders.
It is noted that MI is the first English-speaking church established in the city of Daegu.
Its main goal is to fulfill the ‘Great commission’ found in Matthew 28:19-20 of the scriptures.
During the 1980s, God enlarged the vision of MI with a local church ministry. This opportunity provided a place for students to receive the Word of God and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The ministry giving practical experience with the development of spiritual gifts, its students began to reach out to evangelize the nation.

When one is away from home, they want to be able to continue to worship among a body of believers because it’s right; in addition to the multiple benefits which can be derived by being in the fellowship of saints. Then there is the point of how the body can be edified from your presence and your God given gifts and talents. Some come to Korea, particularly Daegu and find it difficult to locate a local body of believers who are English speaking or conduct some or most of its worship services in the English language, or have other English language support systems. This site can also assist individuals who have never been to an English church or any church; even one who is seeking to know of other English worship services in the city of Daegu.
An objective of the Daegu English Churches (church) site is to help provide you a reliable source for finding Daegu English churches, Daegu English Worship Services, Daegu English bible studies, Daegu English church events, Daegu English church activities and English church resources. From this site we hope to give you panoramic view of all English churches and services in Daegu City in order for you to know the options available. See the “Church Directory” page for a list of English churches and worship services. Some churches worship locations may be better for the searcher due to its proximity to one’s home or work place, and then there may be other but criteria for selection. Whatever the criteria; acknowledge the Lord in all thy ways, and he will direct your path. The various English speaking churches in Daegu City may have their own web sites, but yet some are not getting the web visibility due to technical reasons (nothing to do with the spiritual quality).
Therefore we want to help those good churches reach people like you, by adding their names to this site in order for you to perform more specific English church searches and obtain the initial information you need to learn more about a specific English church or English worship service. There also are some other reasons why English churches don’t have web sites. Whatever the case for not having a website, or the site being unreachable; we want to help them all while assisting you in your search.

Welcome to an online community of Daegu English Churches. It is our hope that you can recognize the love of God as churches, services, ministries, missions, and especially their pastors and leaders; continue to pray for one another, fellowship with one another, serve one another, and work with one another in the Lord’s work. This is the will of God, as prayed for in the Lord’s prayer to the Father; in John Chapter 17, verse 23 and supported by the context of the chapter and too many other bible texts.
It is a hope and intent that you would feel that this virtual (spiritual) community is here for you and to serve you; even by the envisioned content, the opportunity for you to contribute, and the opportunity for your voice to be heard. It is not an exclusive community, but just defines some of who we are, where we are, and a portion of universal work that we find ourselves undertaking at the time – in Daegu and it surrounding areas.
